Oh money. Wherever did you go?....

I'm barely making my bills, but oh well. I'm trying to work more hours and I applied at the church I go to (The Crossing) for children's ministry on Tuesday mornings. I wanted to find a way to serve the church and I need experience with children anyway..... Also they pay $8 an hour so that'll be nice. There's also some volunteer work I'd be able to do during the Summer so I'm going to look into that! It'll be awesome! Veritas started up again so it's nice seeing people again. Kinda boring around this town when everyone is out of town for Christmas break. Their first meeting was Tuesday (talked about entertainment) and we had a pizza and Lost party on Wednesday. Yum.

Why on earth does Mark Driscoll make finding a wife and getting married sound like it's suppose to be as easy as buying a pair of socks from Wal-Mart?

I'm getting closer to finishing the New Testament! I'm getting there! I still have a ton of the Old Testament to read though..... That's harder to get through.

Finished two books this week. First one was The Da Vinci Deception, which is a non-fiction about the book/movie The Da Vinci Code, saying that it's based on little to no evidence whatsoever. The second is Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis, a sci-fi where a man gets force to travel to a planet called Malacandra for reasons he doesn't know yet. Naturally C.S. Lewis always puts Christian influences in his books so this world of Malacandra and the people in it represent an "unfallen" world, quite the opposite of Earth, the "silent planet." The series is a trilogy so I'm going to have to get the other two books.

OK. I'll leave it at that. See ya!
